Streaming and Media Industry Titans Step into Pivotal Roles at FTW360, Aiming to Transform the Collegiate Streaming Landscape

Salt Lake City  November 1, 2023 – For The Win 360 (FTW360), the premier video platform made expressly for NIL NCAA Collectives, today announced the appointments of Derek Mattsson as Chief Executive Officer, and Bill Feininger as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer.

Under the leadership of Mattsson and Feininger, FTW360 has already made national headlines with the launch of the “For The Win 360° – Utah” app in collaboration with Utah’s Crimson Collective, which saw more than 100 Ram Big Horn 1500 Trucks being gifted to scholarship football players.

With a storied career in the media and advertising domains, Derek Mattsson has carved a niche for himself as a transformative CEO, having successfully led numerous companies in streaming, live sports, AdTech and more. As co-founder and leader of Vehix, Mattsson strategically steered the online automotive buying service to acquisition by Comcast. Under his astute leadership, Vehix redefined cable television and internet packages for auto dealers, positioning it among the top online automotive purchasing platforms. Derek’s vision transformed Vehix from a $3M seed into a venture commanding a significant share of the massive $30+ billion automotive ad market.

“We’re at a pivotal juncture in collegiate sports. The boundless potential of NIL is reshaping how athletes engage with brands and fans, and how collectives support their athletes,” said Derek Mattsson, CEO of FTW360. “This isn’t a distant reality—it’s happening now. With initiatives like tailored streaming solutions and athlete-brand partnerships, FTW360 stands at the epicenter of this transformative moment in sports history.”

Bill Feininger has been instrumental in transforming the landscape of television and streaming over his 29-year career in TV research and measurement. Having launched numerous streaming apps, he’s led the design of intuitive interfaces, ensured seamless access across streaming devices, and developed new and superior content discovery features that rapidly connect viewers with trending titles and personalized recommendations. Additionally, he has spearheaded pioneering efforts for industry giants like Nielsen, crafted revolutionary television viewership services at FourthWall Media, and devised advanced data strategies for Altice/a4 Media & Data Solutions. His dedication to data integration, audience research, and disruptive innovation sets him apart as a transformative figure in the media landscape. Notably, Bill holds 22 patents related to audience measurement, data collection, integration, and privacy compliance.

“Joining the FTW360 team and blending my expertise in technology, media research, and advertising with the rapidly shifting collegiate sports ecosystem is an exhilarating venture,” stated Bill Feininger, COO and CTO of FTW360. “The convergence of digital innovation and athlete empowerment presents a unique landscape, and I’m driven to shape FTW360 as a leader in pioneering solutions that elevate both athletes and fans alike.”

This marks Mattsson and Feininger’s fourth venture together. They share a rich history of collaboration at various media tech companies, including their notable contributions at Vidgo and placemedia (which was acquired by Altice), among others.
